On Tuesday, October 6, 2009, Megatent Relief Center will be organizing a HUMAN CHAIN to deliver a targeted 10,000 relief packages from Megatent Ortigas to 1,500 evacuee families at ULTRA. To do this, the city of Pasig has agreed to close down part of Meralco Ave. from 8-10pm to allow volunteers to manually pass on goods from the Megatent to ULTRA.
The purpose of this effort is to show our solidarity for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy and to demonstrate our support for them.
If you would like to be part of this initiative, you can help out in 2 ways:
a. By DONATING GOODS to form part of the relief packages
b. By BECOMING A VOLUNTEER to either pack goods for distribution or form part of the human chain
